Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Obtain and update patient insurance information in the system - Process insurance claims and follow up on any denials or rejections - Coordinate with medical providers to ensure accurate coding and billing practices - Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations - Answer patient inquiries regarding insurance coverage and benefits - Collaborate with the billing department to resolve any billing discrepancies - Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and coding guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting - Familiarity with managed care plans and insurance verification processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion - Proficient computer skills, including experience with office software and electronic health record systems Note:
