Selectek has an opening for a P urchasing / Buyer in Canton, GA.
This person will be responsible for the timely procurement and purchasing of raw materials while consistently maintaining quality standards.
Additionally, this team member will be preparing purchase orders to send to suppliers.
Requirements:
Proficient in Excel and MRP/ERP systems.
Required:
2 years purchasing experience and six (6) months related industry experience.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication& negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle a changing environment.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of supply chain processes Job Details:
Monitor open purchase orders and maintain currently planned delivery schedules as per requirements.
Under general guidance, prepare purchase orders and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
Daily tasks include carrying out procurement processes and operational plans while maintaining purchasing standards.
Duties also include RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
Assess customer requirements utilizing drawings, specifications, and quality standards Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
Facilitate supplier non-conformance communications Follow up on backorders, expedite delivery of orders, and communicate the expected delivery date to the department.
Identify and select the best suppliers to purchase raw materials, finished parts, equipment, tools, supplies, and services.
Evaluate existing vendor performance on a regular and ongoing basis.
Releases purchase orders, prints out orders, and transmits orders electronically to suppliers.
Communicate status of material available to engineering, quality, receiving department Support AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and follow outlined processes and procedures.
Answer phone calls and direct them to different departments.
Pay:
$24/hour - $31.
25/hour ($50,000 - $65,000 annual salary) Term:
6 months temp to perm Hours& Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:
00AM - 5:
